Blox Classic Vegan Lasagna
1. CUT AND SAUTE.
Cut the onion and garlic finely, add to a frying pan with a few tablespoons of olive oil and sauté until golden brown. Crush the ripe tomatoes and then add to the pan with the onions and garlic, and cook together for 20 minutes over medium heat.
2. ADD BLOX.
After that time add Blox and the spices and cook for a further 5 minutes.
1. VEGAN BECHAMEL.
Heat the oil in the pan, add the flour, cook for 5 minutes and add the vegan milk and spices, stir continuously, until the sauce has the desired thickness.
Note: PASTA RECOMMENDATION.
Use lasagna pasta sheets. Not the ones that don’t require pre-cooking.
1. COOK THE PASTA.
Cook the pasta sheets. It is advisable to bring the water to a boil and add them 1 by 1 so that they don’t stick together. After they’re cooked remove from pan. Cool off in cold water.
2. MAKE THE LASAGNA.
Place the pasta sheets on the bottom of an oil-smeared baking tray. Add a layer of the Blox bolognaise sauce, then sandwich with a layer of cooked pasta. Repeat with a layer of Blox bolognaise sauce and pasta. Then cover all with your bechamel sauce.
Add the final touch with a topping of vegan cheese. Put in the oven, and cook until the bechamel-cheese topping turns golden brown. Remove from the oven, cool for a few minutes and enjoy!
